Viola M. Newton
Mrs. Viola May Newton, 77, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was the widow of Earl C. Newton.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Morris and Tammy Huffman, both of Stafford County; two sons, Leslie Wayne Newton of Fort A.P. Hill and Larry D. Newton of Spotsylvania County; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sis-ters, Myrtle Greene of Spotsylvania and Clarice Tomes of Lady Lake, Fla. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis N. Newton and Charles Lane Tomes.
Her remains rest at Mul-lins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
