Not sure what to say?

Vi, it has been a long time. We lost contact with each other and I didn't know how to find you. Today, I was looking for old friends through Google. I found Tom's name and congratulations on having your law practice. He will only remember me from when we were getting ready to go dancing and we were trying a new dance move but you ended up taking a nose dive into the carpet. I'm just sorry that I couldn't get a hold of you sooner. Instead of speaking with you, I'm sending my condolences to...

Grandma, I miss you a lot. I've gone through middle school, high-school and am in college now and the whole way I've been thinking of you. I miss all the food you used to make me and the time we spent together. Alyssa says she doesn't remember you much, but I do. I remember all of our special moments, and even the days where we just spent time at your house. I miss and love you very much. The 10th anniversary is coming up, and you've been in my head for the past few weeks. I love and miss you.

Dear Vi,
On this, the first anniversary of your departure, we remember you and honor the life you shared with us.
You have been a wonderful sister, mother, wife, friend, counselor, and teacher. The world was far richer because you were there.
You have gone to a brighter and cheerier place where the heart's vision is unobscured by fear and doubt. You are free of blame, anger, regret, judgment and all the sundry heartaches that plague us who are still desperately trying to...

Mom-
I miss you. My heart needed you still. There's not a day that the grand kids talk about you. It's been especially hard on Austin. We miss you hugs and laughter.

Can you believe Brittany is going to get married? She needed you to help make a these glorious decisions. It is so hard and not fair that you had to leave us.

Viola

At a table overlooking the garden of memories,
Pen in hand, inside eternity's house of light,
She writes of the earth--its terrible, resilient majesty.

Oh how she misses this desert--the spiny ocotillo's
Tiny, red trumpets, the palo verde's blue-green shade,
The lightning and thunder of the summer monsoon.

How she misses the ocean, its endless sky over green
Islands of palm and bamboo, the sun descending,
Slices of...

Vi Pace was one of the classiest ladies I have had the pleasure of calling both my friend and co-worker. She always had a smile on her face and took the time both to listen and offer advice when asked to do so. She and Tom did a super job in raising Melanie and Brittany. Job well done Vi!

It has taken me more than a few days to wrap my arms around a loss of this magnitude. As I said to my husband as we left the funeral....our family dynamics just changed drastically. Vi was our spark plug, our bright light and a strong presence. The world lost one of the most amazing women and heaven gained an angel. Say hi to my dad and keep him in line!! You will forever be missed and forever in our hearts...

You will be missed. Thank you for always being so kind, loving and welcoming to me and everyone around you.

Grade school, St. Scholastica's College - Viola was my dearest friend, along with Irene Noble. She was practically a member of our family. I will remember Viola always - especially her kindness, intelligence and wonderful sense of humor. Condolences to Tom, Melanie, Brittany, Ed, and other family and friends of Vi from the Morales and Guerrero families.
