Not sure what to say?

On this day, I want you to know, that you will always be remembered and in my heart. I still think about you and will treasure your kind and loving soul. Thank you for being such a wonderful person. I truly hope you knew how much you meant to me.

I remember Viola as a fellow artist and a sweet and friendly neighbor (recent years when I moved to the north shore). My condolences to her family.

On behalf of the Administration, Faculty and Staff of Queens College, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Viola Calabresi Proeller. May she Rest in Peace,

I'm so sorry for your loss. Viola and I were neighbors for years at Bay Street Landing, as were Hans and I when he used the studio as his maritime law office. I always loved running into each of them; they were both so bright and pleasant and refined and interesting! Please accept my condolences. I liked both of your parents very much.

I worked with Mrs. Proeller in the Learning to Read Through the Arts program and I have always thought about her through the years, as she had such an impact on me. She was wonderful to work with and such a pleasure. Very sweet lady. I love you and wish you a safe journey.

Sending love to Marie, John and Peter. I loved Viola, my other "Mom" who watched me grow up. Such a kind, sweet, funny wonderful mom. She was a truly wonderful friend to my mom, Jean, especially during challenging times. She had wonderful advice about making sure to eat plenty of bread and cheese before going out to our high-school parties. I have so many fond memories. Sending love and holding you all close to my heart.

As a neighbor and friend I will always miss Violas´ smile and quick It was a pleasure meeting and sharing conversations May you RIP with love

So sorry to hear that Viola has passed. I knew her from the Unitarian Church of Staten Island. I always enjoyed talking to her about folk music and other topics. She was a warm, loving, sweet person. May she rest in peace, and may the memory of her love and kindness be a comfort to her family.
