Viola L. Ruminer

Jonesboro, AR � Mrs. Viola Laura Ruminer, 76, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Weiner, Arkansas on September 23, 1931 to the late Frank and Ada Shelton. She was a retired housekeeper for several area nursing homes and was of the Baptist belief. Survivors include three daughters, Louella Ables and Myra Ruminer both of Jonesboro, Marylin Englich of St. Charles, MO; two sons, David Ruminer and Calvin Ruminer, both of Jonesboro; two sisters, Lillian Broughton and Kathleen Akers both of Fairhope, AL, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Franklin Ruminer and one sister, Thelma Horton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 25, 2008 at the North Main Baptist Church with Rev. Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will follow at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
