Violet Hazel Collier, 86, went home to be with the Lord, and her siblings on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born on September 3, 1934, in Orange, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Kays and Annie Lee Moubray. She was the baby of the family and was preceded in death by her brothers, Luther, Walter, Jim, Lewis and Kays "Jr" Moubray; sisters, Helen Richardson, Marie Thomas, Virginia Richardson, Lucille Dodson and Mildred Dowell.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Collier and wife, Donna, of Ruckersville, Sandra Collier of Louisa, K. Scott (Buck) Collier and wife, Bonnie, of Louisa; grandchildren, Jennifer Hyde and husband, Brian of Lynchburg, Jenna Easton and husband, Chris of Charlottesville and Greg Collier of California; great-grandchildren, Trevor Hyde, Collier Easton and Mattie Easton of Charlottesville; sister-in-law, Thelma Moubray of Madison; and good family friend, Gary Bolt of Troy.
Our very special thanks to Gary Bolt, for all he did for our Mother. Our appreciation to the administration, and staff at The Harbor in Stanardsville, Va. for the love and care provided during her stay.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Mechanicsville Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mechanicsville Baptist Church, 10200 Louisa Road, Gordonsville, VA 22942.
