I was an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley in 1971 when Vi hired me to work as a counselor in Lincoln's group home for adolescent boys. That was taking a chance since I was only 5 years older than some of them. But Vi had confidence in me and that enabled me to go on and become a masters level social worker working with both adolescents and adults. Later I went on to medical school and became a family physician. After that I lost touch with Vi but I look fondly back on those days at...

I had the real pleasure of interviewing Ms. Feinauer for a history of Lincoln Child Center (now Lincoln Families). She was smart, articulate, and funny. She headed Lincoln during a tumultuous period and did a terrific job. I was very sorry to hear of her death.
