DECATUR - Violet B. Sprague, 85, of Decatur died 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Fair Havens Christian Home. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North. Memorials may be made Fair Havens Christian Home. Mrs. Sprague was born March 6, 1919 in Fayette Co. the daughter of Sydney and Lucy (Nihiser) Bissonett. She was a homemaker and a member of Elwin United Methodist Church, Women's society of the church, she was very active in the church and community. She married Clifford F. Sprague on July 28, 1938. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1998. Surviving are her son Steven Sprague of Decatur, brother Raymond Bissonett and wife Betty of Elwin, sisters Fern Ropp of Vandalia and Lela McDowell of Decatur, daughter-in-law: Peggy Sprague; grandchildren Jodi VanFleet and husband Danny of Decatur, Kari Wright and husband Tron of Decatur, Steven Sprague, Jr. of Decatur, and Tony Sprague of Decatur, six great grandchildren Dalton Van Fleet, Dalton Wright, Clayton Sprague, Kaylie Wright, Logan Wright, and Hannah Wright. Special niece Tina Davidson and family of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Joe, grandson Brian, one brother and one sister. There aren't enough words for this wonderful woman we called Mom, Grandma, Nana, Aunt, Sister, and Friend. You could always count on a warm smile and loving welcome. Violet was a great woman who had a hand in touching so many lives in so many ways. She will be greatly missed. We Love You. Obituary written by family members
