Violet,
I have but one regret......I found
a wonderful cousin late in life and
had such a short time to enjoy your
company. I will do my best to finish
the CADY genealogy you were so
enthusiastic about when I first
located you. God bless and keep you
my sweet cousin.

Violet, I tried to tell you the things that I am about to say a few weeks ago in one of my letters and when you answered, I knew I had embarressed you so I went no further. Now I want to tell the World and Universe and Heaven about you. No one could have had a better Big Sister than we had! I do not remember the fire when I was three but I have been told you kept your three sisters from harm's way as all our wordly possessions went up in smoke. My memories start...

Aunt Violet, Thank you for allowing me to illustrate your wonderful books. I was truly honored. The paperdolls you created for my birthday hold a special place in my childhood memories. I will miss you, my gentle aunt.

Mrs. Tackett will be greatly missed by the Friendship Baptist Church community. She was a quiet lady, but we all knew she loved her Lord.

Aunt Violet,
everytime I swim,
whether in a lake, a river, the spa,
I think of you and how you used to
gracefully swing your arms
through the waters, so many,
many years ago in Clear Creek.
As a little girl, I tried to immitate
your strokes. I remember you
when you were a young woman,
in my mind so talented and pretty,
ever typing away on the huge
black typewriter, or drawing
exquisite fashions for the
paperdolls. You've always had
such stories that you...
