HANNERS, Virgie Of Flint, age 79, died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Larry Rednower officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Contributions may be made to New Haven Baptist Church. Visitation 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Virgie was born in Hornersville, Missouri on February 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Virgil and Nell (Hare) Mayberry. On November 14, 1953, she married Daniel Hanners. She attended Bearing Cross Baptist Church and New Haven Baptist Church. Surviving are husband, Daniel; 5 children, Daniel Jr. (Beverly), Stan, Glen, Reahlynn Hope and Kathryn (Robert) Pepin; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Edsel Mayberry and sister, June Shaffer; many nieces and nephews.
