I just learned of Virgil's passing and was saddened to hear this news. I worked with him at TLH from 1997-2001. He was a gentle soul with an endless smile.

I was with Virgil when he bought his first fishing rod and taught him some things on the banks of the Upper Iowa R. Some of my fondest memories of Luther were Virgil's humor and partnering with him to play cards. There weren't many made like him. One of the truly funniest people ever.

Linda and Family,
I'm was so saddened to hear of Virgil's passing - just yesterday. He was just as friendly and helpful as everyone has said here in the guest book. I worked with him at TLH in the early 90's, and he always had a smile and a funny story to tell. I saw him in recent years at Menorah, and it was so good to run into him again. God bless you, Virgil. You were a kind soul.
