Not sure what to say?

Dear Ann Ellen, I was sorry to hear of your father's passing. My sympathy to you all.

My sympathy to your family. We lived on 9th Street many years ago.
I rember how Virgil walked all the time. I'm sure your family has many fond memories.

Virgil and I met when my daughter Beth married Tom. I will always remember when he called me after having watched the debate on education reform between the Rev. Lynn and myself on Alan Keyes' program. He congratulated me, and told me how delighted he was at the outcome. I consider that one of the highest compliments that I've ever received. Virgil was indeed a consummate professional, and I'm honored and will remember that always. The Greenbarg family mourns the loss of a true patriot.

I was hired to replace Virgil at the Illinois State Bar Association upon his retirement in 1982 and was tutored by him during the last 3 months of his tenure. I knew him to be a consummate professional of the highest standards. My sincere condolences to all the Tiptons and the extended family.
