Read MoreI miss my friend. Virginia saved my life and taught me how to stand up. Taught me how to be a more responsible member of society, without needing to be social. She was brilliant, and able to access info like a computer, rather than like my brain with info scattered in various disorganized file cabinets. She was honest and loyal, and a fierce advocate for those in need. She was a true friend. Thank you Virginia. I miss you.

I´ve known Virginia for over 40 years, after working with her at Multnomah County Legal Aid. No one could type faster or more accurately than her. She was a loyal friend who was highly opinionated, smart, and memorable. She loved her dogs, stayed up with the news, and maintained a fine plot of land on SE Reedway. She was a Portlander through and though. She wrote a whole stack of poems. Totally unique.
