Virginia L. Bright

BRIGHT, Virginia L. - Of Flint, age 78, died Monday, February 24, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical. Funeral service will be held at 12Noon Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend John Tuckey officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to Pulmonary Fibrosis Research. Visitation 12-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Virginia was born in Flint, Michigan on August 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Edgar and Della Allison and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. Virginia married Marshall Bright on April 19, 1939 in Flint. She loved going to the casino and playing slot machines and enjoyed going to Old Country Buffet. Virginia retired from Fisher Body Coldwater Plant after over 20 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #326. Surviving are husband, Marshall; daughter, Barbara (Robin) Wheaton of Flint; 5 sons, Avon (Janet) of Flushing, Allen, Daniel (Judy), all of Flint, Denny (Bev) of Gladwin and Robert of Flint; daughter-in-law, Amanda Bright of Flint; 16 loving grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Bonnie (EJ) Williamson, Betty (Jerry) Hancock and Patricia (Gene) Haneline, all of Flint; several nieces, nephews, special friend, Mary VanHove. She was preceded in death by her son, Vaughn; 4 brothers, Clyde, Zeron, Valjean and John; sister, Gertrude Simpson.
