Not sure what to say?

Ginny was my spiritual director when I was a De La Salle Christian Brother in the early ‘90s. I will always remember her tremendous warmth and deep wisdom. She guided me through some difficult decisions in my life, always with humor, grace, and love.

Memories of St. Mark's and CJCR wouldn't have been the same without Sister Virginia. She was also my mom Sue Anne's best friend. We now have another angel looking over us. Love and comfort to all, Kevin

Friends,family of Sr Virginia,
I met Sr Virginia at St. Mark's Cranston and she had a great smile and dedicated to the Sisters of Mercy in whatever parish I went to for Mass with the Sisters of Mercy I was just thinking of Virginia and the next thing her name is in the paper. I had the same thing happen last week where I was thinking about a neighbor and her nephew 53 years old died of natural causes in his sleep and my friend is still alive at 87 or 88 with a few health problems.
Now...

Sister Virginia's legacy will live on in my 2 daughters. She took care of them as if they were her own.She helped mold and shape them for which I am eternally grateful. She will always be with them.

Dear Sisters,

I just want you to know that as you mourn the loss of a great woman, a Sister of Mercy, that we, De La Salle Christian Brothers also mourn her loss.

Ginny was a great friend of ours...spiritual director to many of our Brothers. Her love for life and deep sense of the holy will live in our hearts for a long time.

Today I celebrate Ginny; her life, her joy, her wonderful Italian outlook on life!

Now that I live in Rome I understand so much...

Dear Francis and Lovie,
We were very saddened to hear that Ginny passed away. We feel that we were blessed to be able to get to see her recently and to find her so upbeat. She was a great person and fun to be with.
Several years ago we visited her when she was the principal at St. Margaret's, and lo and behold, she was cooking pizza for all the sisters!
We also remember how she took leave to take personal care of her sister Anna with such compassion and love.

Dear Ginny Smolenski,
I was very sorry to read this morning about your Aunt's death. She was always so kind about getting us tickets yearly to Manhattan by the Bay.
My sincere sympathy to you, your Father and Mother.
Fondly,

Thank you God for friends held dear. Ginny is one of mine. We have been friends since the early 70's. We shared some sad and happy times during those years. My heartfelt prayers for Fran and Lovey, all her family and friends.

Auntie, it's me again.
I have a question for you.
Who's going to bring the candy!
