Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Virginia was a resident of Salem, Massachusetts at the time of her passing. A period of visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday September 11 2015 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday September 12 2015 in the funeral home's chapel with the Rev. Dan Netting officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place in Memphis Tenn. 38105 or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at 2900 North Rocky Point Drive in Tampa Fla. 33607.
