Virginia and Art Hassenflu both made such wonderful contributions to St. Augustine, particularly through the Genealogical Society and the revitalized Daughters of the American Revolution. Rest in Peace, old friends. You will not be forgotten.

Mark, Your mother was such a wonderful, vibrant woman. We are happy we knew her at the condo in St. Augustine. She'll be missed, but as a consolation, she did have a full and rewarding life.

I was on the Romper Room program in the 50s and simply loved Miss Virginia. Years later we met again when she came to my school for an event. I have always remembered her kindness, gentle spirit and how she empowered me at a very young age. My deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends.
