Kendra and family, I am so sorry to hear of Ms. V passing away. I don’t know if you remember me or my son Brian. We lived in Meriden a couple doors down from your Aunt when she had her condo there. She was truly a blessing to us especially to Brian. I am afraid we won’t be able to make it to the service but please know we love you all and think the world of Ms. V as we fondly called her. She was a treasure and I am so sorry we didn’t keep in touch with her. She will be truly missed.

I met Virginia when I first joined CTDOL, as she was part of the team that interviewed me. Although our roles were in separate units, our paths crossed often enough for her warmth, encouragement, and ever-present smile to leave a lasting impression. She spoke with deep conviction about mentoring youth in her community, and it was evident that giving back was her true passion. Her generosity of spirit and uplifting presence touched many, and her legacy will continue to resonate in the lives...

I am truly saddened to hear of Virginia's passing. I came to know her when she just before she retired and needed some help with some paperwork involving church and youths. She was such a force of life when it came to keeping young folks on a meaningful path to life. She took care of her family and guided them in how things could be done better. Heaven gained and angel when Virginia joined them. May her memories keep her force of life going.

I had the pleasure of working with Virginia during my time at the Department of Labor. We became friends after she approached me and encouraged me to join the agency´s mentoring program, which she passionately led. Virginia was always caring for others, guided by her big heart and unwavering faith. My deepest condolences go out to her family-I pray that you find strength in this difficult time. She will be deeply missed.

One thing for sure, I will miss my cousin. No matter what the situation was, Jent always was there to help EVERYONE. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need without thinking twice about it. Every time I seen her she'd always have that beautiful smile. She really is a true definition of FAMILY person. She loved her family, and her family loved her. Although she may not be here in the flesh, her legacy will live on through all of her family.
