Virginia Rogers "Jinks" Holton

Virginia was a beautiful woman and what a wonderful life she lived. Condolences to all of her family.

I met Mrs. Holton when I was a page in the state Senate in 1972. I was one of only 2 girl pages (it was the just second year they allowed girls to serve). At a breakfast she & Gov. Holton hosted for the pages, she invited Carter Echols & myself to seek her out if we ever felt "overpowered" by the boys. She was a lovely lady and I know our commonwealth & the country are better for her having been in it. I pray you will all be comforted with sweet memories, & feel the lightness of being...

My thoughts and prayers are with the Holton family. Cherish your wonderful memories. I remember fondly visiting in your home while you were living in Richmond and the friendship between our families. It is hard to believe how many years ago that was!
