Miss Virginia Maria Johnson was born June 14th 1919 in New Orleans Louisiana. The first child and only girl of 6 children born to James and Pearl Hayes Johnson.
  After retiring she continued to work and support her church.  She served as Cantor at the 4pm mass when she and others wanted to start a choir. She taught religious education and served in many other church organizations the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Peter Claver, The Altar Society and was still an active member of the Ladies Sodality Group.
  Her brothers Edward, James, Freddie, Robert and a young brother Fred who died as a child proceeded her in death. She is survived by two sisters in law Margaret the wife of Freddie and Evelyn the wife of Robert.  Affectionately known as Tauntee she is survived by a lot of nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews and adopted nieces and nephews. Along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 8321 Burthe St New Orleans, LA 70118 on Friday March 26, 2021 with visitation at 9:30 am followed by services at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Carrolton #1 Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Dennis Funeral Home 1812 Louisiana Ave New Orleans, LA 70115. DUE TO COVID-19 MASKS IS REQUIRED.

Tauntee is was such a kind lady for her neighbor hood & family. She’s going to be missed by her family & friends. Now her wings is flying high in heaven. Praying for the Johnson family through there sorrow during this time.
