Virginia L. Joslin

Virginia L. (Stucchi) Joslin of Framingham died Thursday, January 28, 2010 peacefully at home. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles A. Joslin for 65 years. She was a lifelong resident of Framingham. Virginia was formerly a secretary at Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham and retired in 1983 after more than 25 years of service. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles and sewing; she also enjoyed feeding the wildlife in her backyard. Virginia was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and had attended games regularly with her best friend, the late Betty Brown, also of Framingham. Virginia is survived by her three children, Virginia C. Joslin of Falmouth, Vincent P. Joslin of York Haven, Pa., and Judith A. Chartrand of Hopedale. She also leaves her sister, Thelma S. Wood of Framingham, and her brothers, James Stucchi of Florida, Richard of Northborough, Edward of Florida, Rudolph of Hopkinton and William of Framingham. In addition she leaves four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A private visitation for family and close friends will take place Tuesday, February 2, from 2-4 p.m. at the Metrowest Funeral Home of Wadsworth-Chiappini, 318 Union Ave., Framingham. A service will be held on Friday, February 5 from 10 a.m.-noon at the funeral home, with interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
