My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all.

Growing up in Ellenton, one of my fondest memories is going to the Layfield Grocery before and after school for a bag of penny candy. Mrs. Layfield was always so sweet to all of us kids. I'll never forget her. May God bless you in this time of sorrow.

When I was a child growing up in Rocky Bluff and attending the ole' brick school house, we couldn't wait until school let out so we could rush to the Layfield Grocery and buy our small bag of candies before boarding the schoolbus for the trip home. Ms. Layfield's smiling face was always there to greet us. I'll forever remember you with fondest memories. Rest well sweet lady.
