Mrs. Virginia Lundin, 83, widow of Stanley E. Lundin, a resident of Windy Rise Lane East, South Londonderry, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Albany, NY Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts December 14, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Eric W. and Sigrid M. (Scott) Carlson.
Mrs. Lundin received her education in the Auburn, Massachusetts schools and was a 1943 graduate of Auburn High School.
Mr. & Mrs Lundin were married in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 18, 1945. Mr. Lundin died May 10, 2002.
In 1936 Mr. Carlson started a well drilling business. Shortly after their marriage, the Lundins and the Carlsons former Carlson and Lundin Artesian Wells, Inc. in South Londonderry. Today the business continues under the third generation of the family. Mrs. Lundin had resided in South Londonderry since 1947.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, horseback riding and playing golf.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth S. Lundin and Stanley W. “Jack” Lundin, both of South Londonderry; two grandchildren, Christina Adler of Meade, Colorado and James Lundin of Denver, Colorado and two great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Lundin’s request there will be no visiting hours.
Graveside committal services will be held at the Glebe View Cemetery in South Londonderry on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
