Virginia "Pearl" Mallory of Pontiac was born April 8, 1927 in Allensville, Kentucky to the union of the late Willie and Susie Johnson. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life on September 15, 2012 at the age of 85.
Pearl prfessed Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church 250 Fisher Pontiac, MI where she served in the Food Ministry.
Pearl was committed to her family as a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, receipe clipping, shopping, watching her favorite soap operas, readind the daily newspaper, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Pearl was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl W. Mallory, who she married on June 22, 1950 in Hopkinsville, KY and her first born son, Stanley Mallory.
Pearl leaves to mourn her two loving children; daughter, Brenda S. Williams and son, Earl M. (Rosa) Mallory, 3 loving grandsons, DeShawn J. (Angela) Mallory, Dante T. Mallory, Damon L. Mallory; one loving granddaughter, Shameca T. Mallory; five great grandchildren: Desire U. Mallory, Damaiji N. German, Jazmyn S. Carthane, Aiden L. and Dylan Mallory; one God dughter Stephenie R. Edwards; one great friend: Leatrice Foster; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Pearl will lie in repose on Thursday September 20, 2012 from 12 noon to 8:00pm at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road Pontiac, MI. Her Homegoing service will be held on Friday September 21, 2012 at 11:00am Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Billy Allen, Pastor the family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00am Friday at the Church.
