It is with our family's deepest sympathy to share the passing of Virginia Maria Nicolosi "Cuchie" on July 5th 2025. She was 83 years young. Virginia was born in New Orleans, La. in 1941. She started out in the ninth ward raising her children then moved to Chalmette, La. She then relocated to Pearl River and has lived there for more than 40 years. If you ever met her, you remember her feistiness. Virginia lovely became known as "Maw-Maw" to more than her family and she was well loved by all. She retired from Shoney's Corp. after 20 plus years where she made many lifelong friends. Her favorite music by Willie Nelson & Elvis would fill the air wherever she happened to be having fun with her family. Virginia is survived by her husband of 43 years, Vincent J Nicolosi, as well as brothers David Richoux and Daryl Richoux (Gina), her children: Rosalie A. Nastasi, Phylis A Jackson, Cecil C Ruiz (Debbie), Richard J Ruiz (Rhonda), Nicolas C Nicolosi, Michelle J Soldani (Troy) and Dannielle L Nicolosi. Virginia currently has 31 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She is now reunited in heaven with her mother, Frances Riggio, father, Bill T Duet, sister, Jeanette Gaspard, sister n law, Pam Richoux, son n law, Jeffery Chauppetta, and children, Felix J Ruiz, Barbara A Noel, and Vincent S Nicolosi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Friday, July 11th, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell, LA.
