Not sure what to say?

A dear, lovely woman. Keep her close to your hearts.

A dear, lovely woman. Keep her close to your hearts.

When I heard the news of the passing of Aunt Jean, I was actually at another funeral. I think I made my sister repeat herself 3 times. My heart stopped. I felt like I got kicked in the stomach. How can this be?? I was just on the dance floor with her doing the “Macarena” in Chicago.
A few days later I received Aunt Jean’s Christmas card in the mail. Again my heart stopped. At first I felt scared, holding that card in my hand, looking so closely @ her handwriting…..but then...

I knew Virginia for 28 years beginning with the time that I joined Kaiser San Diego in 1981. I always enjoyed working with her, talking with her about any ole topic, her great sense of humor, her interest and concern for others. She loved to dance and loved life. She spent time with and enjoyed her kids and her grandchildren and had a special relationship with her husband John. I also loved seeing for myself or hearing about her escapades and/or fun times/discussions with her very special...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My condolences to the friends and family of Virginia. I knew this sweet lady for 17 years when we both worked at Kaiser. Coincidentally, I also once took a class from her late husband John when he was teaching at San Diego State. Two marvelous people who will be greatly missed.
