Virginia Stevens

So sorry to learn of this today! Growing up she was my favorite aunt. In grade and middle school I enjoyed many weeks of overnighting at the farm on Hadley Rd. There I learned to drive, fire a .22 rifle for the first time, ride horses, deworm sheep, steer a tractor, bale and store hay and go to summer movies with my aunt. I learned of Aunt Virginia's passing this week while visiting mom in Michigan. I have fond memories of spending weekends at the farm in Chelsea, Trick or Treating in the city and antique hunting. I still have the saddle rocker she found and sit in it often. Many blessings to everyone, Anne Marie

Ah, Grandma Stevens! I'm sorry to hear of your passing! Such a generous and caring heart! Grandma Stevens worked, almost daily, as a volunteer for about 10 years at View Ridge Elementary, where I teach, helping young children learn to read--often having a little treat, trick or joke to share with them. I am so saddened to read this, I have been trying to find her, I babysat for you kids, played euchre at the card parties, got TuTu from her, enjoyed her till she passed at 16, so so many wonderful memories, she was a wonderful person, I am sending prayers, thoughts, and sympathy from Florida, but my home is in Michigan, my heart is just broken
