Not sure what to say?

I miss you. Aunt Ginny! I hope you had a wonderful reunion with Mom!

We miss you every day. I wish you were here, To call and visit your sister, Lois. She loved you so, and misses you.

Aunt Ginny had an amazing memory and told the most wonderful stories about our family over the years and Seattle history in general. I was fortunate to bring her to a few piano bars and get a chance to watch her perform the old songs. People just loved her! She was such a colorful character and a good aunt to me. Love, Anne

Ginny and I were buddies from the beginning of our married lives. When we lived in Tacoma, we were both pregnant, and used to walk to Mannings and drink coffee. The twins and Jeri Lynn may have been born with the jitters! Miss you Ginny!

Love, Carol

Every year at Christmas for as long as I can remember I would get a gift from Aunt Ginnie. It was so fun to open it and see what she gave me. It was never a conventional gift. Aunt Ginnie loved to shop, and would buy things on sale and then keep them in a bedroom for later use. She had gifts for all occasions and always picked out something fun and useful to give to me! She was a beautiful, warm, kind loving aunt.

Of all the things I remember about her, one small thing she used to...

I remember the times that Jinny, Willi, Meg and I drove to Reno and another time to to Las Vegas for a vacation. Ginny would make a buffet last all evening and then would monoplize three or four slots, all at once. We really miss them both and know they are together now, emjoying a heavenly buffet. Love, your brother, Neil

My Dear Sister,
We fought like cats and dogs when we were kids,
But became best friends.
We talked every day...
loved to reminisce.
Sang old songs we knew,
I still think of things I want to ask you,
Or tell you...
I miss you, Ginny.

Virginia leaves a legacy of love, laughter, loyalty, compassion and thoughtfulness that will be remembered by her grateful family and lifelong friends. One of her special talents was an incredible memory....of family history and childhood adventures. She also knew "all the words" for hundreds of favorite songs, which she sang with her beloved Willi.

Dear Virginia:
Here's a song we wrote in loving memory of you...

"Willi and Ginny were lovers,
Both of them...

I was introduced to "Aunt Ginny" by my good friend Ann Torvik after Ann learned of my fondness for piano bars, especially Sorry Charlie's on Queen Anne.

After that, it was only a matter of time before Ginny and I met and become instant friends. I adored this remarkable, beautiful, and kind woman. And, although not my aunt I naturally, and easily, called her Aunt Ginny. I would have loved to have known Ginny in her "heyday".

Never the less, I feel enriched by our...
