Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Urckfitz taught my daughter Zoey, 6 years ago. We recently ran into her at Wegmans in Penfield and I was absolutely amazed that she spotted my daughter right away remembered who she was immediately without hesitation. She is very special and I know she loved all her students! They were her passion and she treasured everyone of them! We are blessed to have known Ginny and to have had her in our presence and now blessed to know she is an angel looking upon us. Her family and friends...

My love to all of you. I have been blessed to call Ginny a friend for 35 years and know that Heaven is little brighter now that Ginny is there. She has always been an inspiration to me and all who have had the honor of knowing and loving her. The memorries of Ginny helping me plan my wedding and helping me while awaiting the birth of my first daughter will always be among my fondest memorries. My heart is broken, but my spirit soars with the knowledge that she no longer is suffering and she...

Our family was blessed by the wonderful teacher and human being. She taught both of our children in 1st grade (Diane is 22, Tom is 17). She made every child (and every person) feel special. There was never any doubt that "teaching" was her calling. Whenever I saw her at Wegmans - her 1st words were - how are Di and Tommy. The world was a much better place because of her.

My daughter, Cori, is a senior this year but she went back to Indian Landing often to visit with Mrs. Urckfitz. Ginny always had a big hug and smile for her. She did make all of our children feel they were special. I have so much fondness and respect for her...

My daughter, Tess, was in Ginny’s class three years ago and I worked weekly in the classroom as a parent helper. Time in that class was a real treasure. Ginny demanded respect for herself and every student. She taught those kids so much more than reading and math. I watched the self respect of each child grow. I watched the kids learn how to be tolerant of differences… and there were many. Her classroom was a place children felt safe and important. And then there was music. On the...

My Cousin Ginny and I had such fun together. I remember when I was pregnant with my son, Ginny and I were at the mall, she kept asking me every few minutes if I was ok, Ginny was concerned that my water might break.. I told Ginny I wasn't due for a couple of weeks, but she persisted and said what if your water breaks, I said well go get the car.. but don't forget to come back for me.. Ginny was a wonderful cousin, friend and was always there for you... We'll miss you Ginny...

Hannah is in her first year of college and this is truly the result of the brilliant and amazingly attentive care of God's sweetest tool in teaching His young, Ginny! She changed Hannah's life and she even found time to e-mail her recently at school to encourage and even guide her still. We are BLESSED to have been touched by this true angel, will miss her so much, and look ahead to the time we will see her preciously smiling face again, when we are all with Him, without pain and loss...until...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. We have been fortunate to have been blessed by this wonderful person. I feel my daughter's experience in Mrs. Urkfitz's first grade classroom set the tone for her current success as a student. When we think of Mrs. Urkfitz we think of music.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and always. Our son, Garrett, was blessed to have Mrs. Urckfitz last year and spoke so highly of her. Her kind words, loving teacher qualities and fond life lessons will be treasured in our hearts forever.
