DeDe's independence and active life was an inspiration all the years I was her neighbor. She so enjoyed the cookies I dropped off at Christmas time. All her friends and family must have wonderful memories.

My cousin, Sherry and I planned a BIG surprise birthday party for Dede's 80th birthday at my house in Belvidere, Dede was upset with us at first (I guess she hated surprises), she soon forgave us as the house filled up with friends and family.
