so many people, including myself, benefited from mrs. wright's foresight, vision and generosity. she was especially good at helping young people interested in the visual arts. her influence on all the arts, though, not just visual arts, will be felt by seattle and US institutions and individuals for many years. for example, for her new housewarming in the highlands, she commissioned a new piece by terry riley--who conducted and performed it, to entertain the guests. i also remember how kind...

I knew Jinny as an around the corner neighbor and thru serving on The Seattle Art Museum Development Board while the new downtown museum was built. Yes - she was wealthy and a great patron of the arts - but my strongest impression of her was that she was totally "for real".
