Not sure what to say?

I truly miss each and every day hearing her voice. Telling me to be kind to old people with added comments. I miss her encouragement and support. When you are her spiritual director, and friend you get to know a person in very deep way. I learned about her especially through her stories. She wanted me to have a very old object of St Peter and Paul. Well guess what out of the clear blue it came. Its like she is saying I am still with you. She and Tom are prayed for every day as they were...

I truly have missed you all these years. Tom and Viva were like second parents to me. They saw me through the very rough times of my priesthood when all others seemed to pass away. She supported me in my desire to write icons. Everytime I look at one that I write I pray for Viva and Tom. I pray for her family which was very dear to her. She truly sacrificed much because she loved much

Viva,I will never forget you. I know you are smiling and happy for me because I was able to find my baby after (34) years. You helped me with the adoption and she found me.May you rest in Havenly Peace

How could anyone not like Viva! I first met her in the early 1970s when I taught a course at USL titled something like "Cajun Culture." We had four voluntary field trips, and she never missed a one. She was so full of life and always made the most of any minute. We remained friends over the years, and I would visit often whenever in Louisiana. Viva always called me "My little Cajun friend (although I've lived in Arizona for well over 40 years now). I will miss her! My condolences to...

Tommy, my condolences; I just found out. I remember well you inviting me to your home, and being impressed with your parent's hospitality and your mom's joie de vive. She was aptly named.

Tina, Tommy, and Gayle, I was so sorry to hear about Viva. I was traveling when I heard the sad news. Viva was aptly named because she was a life force and a woman ahead of her times--loving, tolerant, and embracing everyone. Tina, I have many wonderful memories of spending time at your house and sharing some great laughs and adventures with Viva. May you all find comfort in your fond memories of her and her legacy of love and compassion. With love and heartfelt sympathy, Marcelle

She was a good friend to the Parr family. She will be missed.

Tommy, Tina, Gayle, We were so sorry to hear about the passing of Viva. John and I were so glad that we were able to see her in Aug. when we were in town. She was the same smiling Viva with that great laugh, even if she didn't really know who we were. My youngest daughter Jeanne was with us and had a ball talking to her about Joy Parr and their travels together. We were sorry we couldn't make it to the service, but I have been in Seattle with my daughter Karrie, and our newest grand...

Offering you our condolences. Your mom was very beautiful woman. May she rest in peace.
