I played bridge with Vivian, and I dearly appreciated her sometimes caustic remarks, which she bestowed on herself , as well as her fellow bridge-players! I have missed her wit and wisdom since we stopped playing in person during Covid.

Vivian and Jim were our first friends in Paonia when we bought land and a small house and orchard along Hwy 133 in 1993. They kept their horses at our place, and we shared many meals and happy times together. It was Vivian who introduced us to the Paonia Methodist Church, and encouraged me to join the Bell choir and introduced me to the North Fork Valley Orchestra. She learned how to use a computer and for years kept me and all her friends and family amused by jokes and on-line stories....
