Foster-Warne Funeral Home - Collingswood Obituary

Vivian passed away suddenly on July 28, 2025 at her home in Cherry Hill, NJ at the age of 28.

Beloved daughter of Cai Hong Chen and Kin Keung Fung. Loving sister of Alex (Tonia Liu) Fung and Jack (McKenna Paulin) Fung. Devoted granddaughter of Kwan Yin Chan and Yu Yan Chen Lu. Cherished niece of Ming Chen (Theresa Chong), Bao Chen and Kin Chow Fung (Candy Chan). Caring cousin to Hinssen and Marcus Chen, James, Clarence and Tyler Fung. Vivian is also survived by her dogs, Rey and Moose and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Vivian had a deep love for traveling, exploring nature, and playing tennis/pickleball. She spent every moment she could outdoors, drawn to fresh air and open skies - she was always up for an adventure. She also loved discovering new foods and restaurants, and had an impeccable eye for fashion and design, able to make any house feel like a home. She was a devoted plant mom, tending lovingly to greenery both indoors and out.

Vivian had the biggest heart: caring, selfless, and endlessly dependable. She would do anything for anyone. Her creativity, humor, and sass brought light and warmth to every room she entered. She found beauty in everything and everyone around her.

Above all, Vivian cherished her family. She was truly the glue that held them together. As a daughter, she constantly stepped up—unwavering in the support she gave her parents. As a sibling, she offered steady love, strength, and encouragement. Vivian showed up in both big and small ways, always with thoughtfulness and grace. Everything she did came from a place of deep care. Her presence was constant, grounding, and full of heart.

Vivian was also a gifted nurse, deeply committed to caring for others, both in and out of the hospital. She had a special way of making people feel seen and supported, and never missed a chance to check in on the people she loved. She offered her love without judgment, always putting others before herself.

And let’s not forget about Rey. He was her best friend in the whole world, a bond evident to anyone who saw her camera roll. Whether they were going on runs, playing in the snow, or exploring beautiful parks together, Vivian made sure Rey was by her side. Would you be surprised if I told you she couldn’t walk out of a TJ Maxx without picking up a new toy for him?

Vivian’s light continues to shine through the memories she created and the lives she touched. Her presence will always be felt—in the laughter she shared, the kindness she gave so freely, and the love she wrapped around her family and friends like a warm embrace. She is deeply missed and forever loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Vivian’s viewing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Not sure what to say?

We met Vivian briefly when she came to visit our mutual friend, Cathy, in Edmonton. She was an absolute delight to spend time with. We thought we might have convinced her to move to Canada by the end of her trip. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends. The world is short one bright light now.
