Vivian C. Kammerer
10/13/1929 – 1/20/2020
Vivian was born on October 13, 1929 in Morgan, Minnesota to parents Wesley and Nora. The family later moved to a farm near New Richmond, Wisconsin where she lived with her parents, sister Gloria and five brothers Virgil, Jake, Hub, Chuck and Bob. Their life in Wisconsin was full of hard work alongside their loving family.
After graduating from high school Vivian moved to St Paul, Minnesota and worked for four years before meeting her future husband, Reuben. They met at the wedding of Vivian’s friend who was marrying Reuben’s brother. A very romantic beginning.
Reuben and Vivian were married in 1952 and had two children, Deb and Pat. Vivian moved with her husband and children first to three different towns in Iowa, then Lincoln, Nebraska and Casper, Wyoming. She eventually settled in Arizona after the death of her beloved husband. They were married. 57 years.
Vivian lived life to the fullest. There wasn’t a person who met her who didn’t feel her generosity and loving kindness. She loved to travel and experience new places around the globe. When at home she volunteered extensively. Wherever she was her Christian faith went with her. In her spare time Vivian was an exceptional baker, seamstress, quilter and painter.
Vivian is survived by her two daughters Pat and Deb (Steve), her three grandchildren, Mason, Nora and Jessica, and four of her brothers Virgil, Hub (Marilyn), Chuck (Ruth) and Bob (Kathy). She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law Wilma and Phyllis and many cherished nieces and nephews in addition to the many friends she made throughout the years.
A memorial service will be held for Vivian sometime in the summer of 2020. Her wish is to be buried next to her husband in Iowa. The service will be held there. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
