Vivian PING Obituary
Vivian Anne Ping, age 60, lost her battle with MS unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Vivian, a native Austinite, born February 7, 1956, attended Pease Elementary, O'Henry Junior High and Stephen F. Austin High School. She obtained a degree in Accounting from Concordia University. Vivian was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Austin, active in choir, handbells, GA's and Acteens. She had a love of sports and watching her nephews play baseball, basketball and football.
She is survived by her parents, Albert and Rena Hoelscher, sister, Julia Ping Valentine, nephews, Aaron Valentine and girlfriend Marlaina Perez and Bryan Valentine and his wife Ashley, her aunt, Ollie Dell Cartwright and numerous cousins.
For the care given to her, the family would like to thank the staff of West Oak Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center where Viv has lived for the past four years.
Her Memorial Service will be at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church Austin, 901 Trinity.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Living Music Scholarship Fund.

Hello Julia and Rena, you might not remember me but my mother (Joan Dawe) knew Rena from work and Julia and I played together sometimes and for a while we lived on the same street (in 5th grade). I was looking for information about Pease, when I saw this, and was sad to learn about Vivian's passing. I remember her well, and am sorry for your loss. I remember you and I hope that you are well. My mother kept Vivian Anne in day care back in the '60s. I think she felt a kinship to Rena May because she was also a single mom and I know Vivian Anne was a very special little girl to her. When I read about Vivian Anne's passing I had so many memories of my mom and those days I felt I should extend condolences to Julia, Rena May and family on her behalf. I think she would want me to.
