Not sure what to say?

Fond memories of Vivian and Jean "Skip" Dillman, who were the Girl Scout leaders in my troop in 1955. We were their first group of girls, our sophomore year in high school. They were such an important influence in my life. I usually visited Vivian whenever I was in Concord seeing my mother. Vivian and Skip were lifelong friends even though they lived on opposite sides of the country.
My condolences to all her family.

I was one of Vivian's Mariner Girl Scouts, and that experience changed my life in such a positive way. I will always be thankful for the opportunities that she provided for myself and other girl scouts at the time.

To Vivian's family,
I am so sad to learn of Vivian's death. She was a remarkable woman whom I met through the Boston Mycological Club, and I enjoyed the legendary Beast Feast she threw each year. She passed her love of nature on to her family and I hope that the beauty of the natural world is a comfort to you now as you remember her.

Dear friends of Vivian,

We have lost another primary pillar of our stereoscopic 3D community, and we shall miss her deeply. It was with profound sadness that we learned of her passing, and memories of those decades when she was with us year after year passed in review. She set such an extraordinary example, with her long scientific career, her memberships in imaging-related professional societies, her adventurous trips to far-flung places such as Fiji, her generous mentoring of us in...

I met Vivian about 10 years ago when I volunteered to set up some photo web pages for the Northeast Section of the American Chemical Society, in which she was very active. I had actually known of her for many years because her son Alan had been in my class in Concord public schools from first grade through high school. She was always there visiting the classrooms when the parents were invited to observe. When she realized the connection, she invited me to have lunch with her and her friend,...

I didn't meet Vivian until after I left Polaroid. We talked about Stereojet and I have always had some regrets that I wasn't in a position to join her in that project; I'm sure it would have been an amazing experience to work with her.

Vivian's Mariners

Vivian was a wonderful Mariner Girl Scout leader. I'm sending my condolences. I participated (and my mother, Ann [Pooh] Davis assisted) in the late 1950s. Sailing every spring as a troop on an old fishing schooner Starlight was high point in my teenage years.

(I will add a photo.)

What a special woman. Not many of us will leave a legacy but she certainly has. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
