I was so glad that I was able to see Uncle Dude before I returned to TN. I had a good conversation with him and talked about the SC Trip we all made and we blew up the truck. Remember he was my stand in Dad some 28 years (1/22/83) ago. We had some great times wheh we we all young, even the mailbox incident with Rodney. I am glad I had a hand in raising ya'll and spending those special times with our families. Keep hearing those voice all the time and you will keep them both so...

I was so sorry to hear about Von's passing. He was a great guy. I have so many fond memories of him and Becky. I know he will be greatly missed. Deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss and what you must be feeling. Von was a very special man and he spent many hours at our kitchen table drinking coffee and teasing our girls Lori, Stacy & Leslie when they were little. He always had a great smile for everyone. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have memories of attending the one room school house (Old Red). He was always the fastest in the multiplication contests we used to have. Everybody always tried to beat him, but couldn't. We spent many hours on the playground playing anti over the school house and softball. Skating across from Smiths house was always fun to. We will miss him. Prayers to his children for comfort at this time of loss.

We are so sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Mike Rench and Chris Davison

Very sorry for your loss. Von was a great man. A very patient man. I remember when he taught us to rebuild a 350 engine and when we would do something that didnt work he would laugh. He loved that. May God comfort your whole family during this time.

It was heartwarming to share Christmas Eve with Von and our entire family this year. The largest gathering to date and he was very much a part of it. I remember him most from when I was little and he used to call me and my sister little boys...he will always be a part of our lives.

"It seems wherever I go,
People come into my life and go out.
Touching me where I can feel,
Then leaving only a memory
Like the gossamer fairy tales of children easily forgotten.

Uncle Dude was the coolest Uncle! When I was little he would hang me on a door knob by my overalls when I was bad. I have heard this story so many times, and it still makes me laugh. I remember him taking Peet and I for motorcycle rides. And letting me play on his C.B. radio. I had so many fun times at Uncle Dude and Aunt Becky's house! So many happy memories! I know he is In heaven looking down and smiling at everyone. With all my love, Mari Elizabeth Kreps-Coggins

Dude, you were a good man. You were also a REAL man. Only a REAL man would pick Twiggy as his CB handle . My condolences to the family.
