The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Inc., announces with the deepest sympathy the transition of Mrs. Voncille Bell Perkins.
Mrs. Voncille Bell Perkins, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on October 4, 1940 and departed this life on April 27, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert T. and Theresa T. Bell, her daughter, Nicole O. Perry, and her sister Charmaine M. Bell.
Voncille is a 1958 graduate of Most Pure Heart of Mary School and went on to further her education at Bishop State Community College (originally known as the Mobile Branch of Alabama State University). She is a devout Catholic and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she also served for many years as a member of The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court #1. Voncille retired from Kimberly-Clarke Paper Mill. After retiring, she went on to work at the Gulf Coast Exploreum.
Voncille was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be remembered by her beautiful smile and kind gentle spirit. Her grandchildren and great-grandchild were her greatest joy in life.
Those left to cherish her precious memory are spouse, Nathanial Perkins; two children, Ian G. Perkins and Deirdre M. Perkins; four siblings, Hubert T. (Satwant) Bell, Jr., Marcus V. (Margo) Bell, Joseph E. (T’Wana) Bell, and Roxanne Henderson; eight grandchildren, Nadya N. (Chris) Perkins, Nickolaus J. Perry, Delawrence N. Perkins, Kourtland S. Perry, Symone T. Perkins, Kristen M. Perkins, Dru M. Perry, and Mya T. Perkins; one great-granddaughter, Giana N. Sellers; two devoted friends, Mildred Foster and Bernadette Jones; goddaughters, Jennifer (John) Augustus-Childs, Tonya R. (Lonnie) Spry, Djuna M. Henderson; and a host of other devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
