I had the honor of meeting and coming to know Vonda and her voluminous and proud pioneer heritage through the D.U.P. camp at Barton Creek. Through learning her grandfather Yancey's story from her, I gained new insight, pride and love in my own Wood ancestry- especially the sisters Rebecca and Harriet. God bless and keep you Vonda.
