Vreni was a powerhouse! I was friends with her from 1989 onward (when I started a job in the Chicago German Dept). My late husband and I once visited her in Bern, a great and memorable visit; we exchanged letters only a few weeks ago. So glad to see her, on facebook, wearing her favorite shirt--the elaborate Swiss silhouette shirt. Dear Naess family , Your mother Vreni has been my friend since I arrived in the US in 1969. She helped me adjust to this new place. Over the years she introduced me to many things. Crossroads, where I met many friends from all over the world. Arts, Music and Theater. She has been part of my life for so many years and I keep her in my heart forever
