Dr. Lamar W. Bomar is a towering figure in my memory growing up in Plainfield. First and foremost, Dr. Bomar was our parents' chosen physician for the entire family because he was an excellent doctor, a good person, and an outstanding role model for children and adults. Secondly, our family is Caucasian and we wanted to exemplify genuinely respectful and significantly meaningful relations between our different races. My prayers are with you and your family during your hour of bereavement. Your father, Dr. Bomar was a wonderful doctor and person, he delivered me and my three siblings. He was not only our family doctor, he was also a family friend.May you take joy in knowing that Dr. Bomar has left his mark on the Plainfield community and he will never be forgotten.

It is with deepest sympathy and remembrance in the loss of Dr. Bomar. The loss saddest me, but I now that he is in a much better place. He lived a long life and a good one. To his family and friend, our family keeps you in our prayers.
