Dr. Lamar W. Bomar is a towering figure in my memory growing up in Plainfield. First and foremost, Dr. Bomar was our parents' chosen physician for the entire family because he was an excellent doctor, a good person, and an outstanding role model for children and adults. Secondly, our family is Caucasian and we wanted to exemplify genuinely respectful and significantly meaningful relations between our different races.
