Not sure what to say?

I recently met with a group of Mariner graduates, I shared with them that Mike had passed away. Everyone felt bad and ALL spoke of what a wonderful person he was. I went to Mike's service...sat off to the side, it was so obvious just how special Mike was. I was touched to hear how dedicated he was to his mom. His unending loving care that he gave to her was very special.

Dear Pat and entire Funk family: My sincere condolences for the loss of a great guy. RIP Mike. Rich Keogh, Houston, TX

Dear Funk Family,

Just found out about this and I am extremely saddened. Working with Mike at SSP was just a joy...always smiling and I could always joke and talk with him about anything. A true friend and one you could always trust. He will be deeply missed. My prayers are with the family, friends and all who had the joy of knowing Mike. His laugh and smile will never be forgotten.

Dear Funk family,

Coach Funk was a great guy, always looking for the good in us as players and people. In spite of the thousands of kids he taught and coached, every time I saw him he was interested to know what was going on with me and the other players who played for him in his first year of coaching at STA. He will be missed.

Treacy and the entire Funk family, our deepest condolences for the loss of your brother Mike.

Thank you, Mr. Funk, for touching the lives of so many impressionable teenagers, through your work at the SSP high school.

Dear Funk Family,
My sister Katy (Boicourt) Eggert has let me know of Mike's passing. I am so sorry - he was a special person. Cooky, I remember the old days back when we were kids on the block - it just doesn't seem that long ago... May God comfort all of you. Margie (Boicourt) Holzrichter
