He taught me how to paddle a canoe, turtle hunt, fish and identity plants. We explored the cattail marsh for beaver, looked for frog eggs and played Tarzan on the vines at Rocky Mountain. One heck of a guy!!! Rusty will be missed. He was a community leader in north olmsted as president of the Horizon Education Centers, North Olmsted Republicans and Kiwanis. I always looked up to Rusty, he was a great friend of my parents Emanse and Mary Smith. But to me he was somewhere between an older brother and an uncle. Betsy and family, we give our condolences from Horizon and the Smith Family. Rusty made this world a better place and will be greatly missed.

My condolences for your loss. May the God of all comfort sustain you now and in the days ahead. May God also grant you a measure of peace.
