Not sure what to say?

I always looked forward to visits from Mr. Kolb when he came to La Grande to visit his daughter, Cilla. His humor and wide range of experiences made him a sparkling raconteur! I miss him!

I remember some of those uphill both way hikes... Mr. Kolb opened up avenues of appreciation for camping, hiking and Scouting to many who were once young. Thank you to your service to our country, in the Army, in Boy Scouts and in preserving our woods and natural heritage.

Our family sends prayers and remembers Dave with memories of our trip to West Virginia.

extend their condolences.

To the whole family I send my deepest condolence. I loved my "Dad" very much.
He taught me a lot the year I spend with the family in 1974 to 1975 as an exchange student. I very much loved the hiking in the mountains.
Bless you all, and may he rest in peace.

I would like to send my condolences to David Kolb's family. I didn't really know him but I knew Randy Kolb - you were a very good student in my 7th grade science class at Twality.
God Bless you.

I worked a couple of summers at the Big Camas Ranger Station when I was going to college and he was the District Ranger of the Diamond Lake Ranger District. Also, at Oakridge when he was District Ranger there and at the Regional Office about the same time he was there. Dave was a great guy and colleague. I don't know if I have any photos from the old days, but plan on looking for them.

We did not get to visit with Dave enough, but trips to La Grande with Jane were always delightful! His sense of humor, twinkly eyes, and full of spirit made hima favorite visitor. I loved hearing tales of their travels. I also enjoyed meeting his children. He is very much missed here in La Grande!
