Dear Madden Family,
I am so very sorry to learn of your loss of Reed. I first came to know him through the Miami Valley RC&D. His positive attitude and leadership was energizing. After reading about all of the other organizaations he worked with it is evident that he leaves a tremendous legacy to all of Ohio. He was a great man and will be missed.

My sympathy to the Madden family. Mr. Madden will be missed in the Spring Valley community and beyond.

I owe Reed and the entire Madden Family more than I can ever repay. You welcomed me into your family and hearts and helped make me the person I am today. Reed's guidance and advice have made me a better man. His energy was unlimiited his optimism unstoppable. He was the epitome of christian charity and will always be my role model. I only hope to be half the man he was. I love you all and will miss him greatly.

Although we worked different sides of the political "street", I liked and respected Reed for his genuine interest in people and love for Greene County. Never heard an unkind word. My husband Mike and I will miss him.
