Dear Fred and Carol,
We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Smith's death. We know that he was a truly amazing man. We are praying for you and your family at this time.

Dear Fred and Carol, Catherine and Terry, and Haley,
How very saddened we were to hear of your beloved father/father-in-law/grandfather who is now with our Lord. How we would've loved to have met this wonderful man of God who mentored so many. May the many unforgettable and lovely memories sustain you in the days ahead.

Fred,
So sorry to hear about your dad. He will be missed by many. Years ago, he played a part in helping me understand how faith and work should be integrated.

My favorite Fred Smith story is that at a board meeting of a national ministry, the ministry president presented a plan that he said was given by God. Fred told this ministry leader not to bring him to a board meeting again to vote against God. Every time I heard your dad speak. he was full of wisdom that every leader needed...

Fred and Carol,

I was very sorry to hear of the death of your father/father-in-law. From reading his obituary in the Tyler paper and from the wonderful "breakfastwithfred" Web site, it's clear that he was an exceptional person. God be with you.

Fred Smith was a dear friend and mentor. His grasp of human nature and psychology was augmented by his firm faith. His many talks to so many individuals were as meaningful as they were humble. Many of my employees and friends were moved by his discussions. Many quoted him years after a meeting. I know he has found a home and welcome with the Lord. May God bless the family.

"Wisdom is for sharing, not for keeping". Just one of the many timeless thoughts that Fred shared with us. I thank Brenda and her family for sharing Fred with us right to the end of this life and for sharing his legacy of faith through www.breakfastwithfred.com. Fred may have been the wisest man that I'll know on this earth. Always guided by God's Word and the Holy Spirit, Fred mentored and taught so many. Praise God for how He made Fred so useful all of his days.

I am so sorry for your loss of this great man. I did not know him personally, I know those around him and see the influence he has had on so many. May our God give you His perfect Comfort.
