So sorry to hear about Ed's passing. I have such good memories of the two of you, Jean and Ed, at various academy meetings. Your ever-present joy was infectious! And, you propelled a way of looking at the world and organizations that shifted many of us. Yep, still have the book that helped me as a newly-minted academic. God bless and give you peace.

Ed also served as a Lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps in the U. S. Army for two years after graduating from Auburn with ROTC honors. He was top of his Officer Candidate School class and was selected as one of three officers in the country to implement a new program developed for the Army´s three training centers across the country. Fortunately for us, he was assigned to the training center at Ft. Benning, Georgia, for the full two years of his service during the Vietnam War. This...
