Not sure what to say?

Burke, Mike, and Kell,

Jack & I consider our assocation with you and your dad as one of the highlights in our life. Helping "Coach Watson" was rewarding and great fun. I shall miss his smile; his generosity, and especially his good stories! Today my thoughts are of him and your family.

To the Watson family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all as I recount the many times Coach Watson greeted me with a big smile and firm hand shake. In my book, he was one of the best. He has my most earnest respect. Michael Holmes -St. Andrews Boxing Team

Mr. Watson was my boxing coach and a life long family friend. He had a very large positive impact on me and many other people. He lived life to its fullest and excelled at everything that he put his hand to. I think the Lord will welcome him personally to the banquet held in his own honor for a job well done when he arrives heaven.

On behalf of The Citadel War Years Classes, 1945-1948, we express our heartfelt condolences to all of Burke's wonderful family and friends.

Many of us have fond memories of Burke stretching over 66 years since we entered our plebe year in June, 1943.

Burke was a sterling example of what we all aspire to be. Now he has pased into The Long Gray Line, and we will see him again.

He taught all of us lessons on how to be a good man and a better person. I will miss his talks.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers. "Uncle" Burke was an outstanding person and a true gentleman.
