Not sure what to say?

Where to start? I have been a fan and a friend of WC for over 30 years. I used to take my family to Jazz on 6th when he would have a 6pm start 30 yrs ago. My daughter would hide under the table cloth when WC walked by. He stopped, held out his hand and said" slap my hand kid." And Amber would oblige him...her little hand emerging from under the table cloth and slapping his hand. He laughed his great laugh and went on stage. I took her down to Lockhart a couple of years ago to see...

Met WC back when he played upstairs at Katz's back in the 80's! Took breaks in-between sets with him out in his Van sparking up the Kind! Got to see him for my last time back in October at Giddy Ups! Took my 91 yr old Dad for his 1st time to see WC too! Had a chat with him on his break out in the parking lot and we talked about the good ole days at Katz's. It was a blessing knowing you WC. Rest in peace Bluesman

WC getting up from his stool that he sat on stage with and asking me if he did not mind if he adjusted the knobs on my bass amp to change my tone , so my bass would sound like a note. WC Clark changed my sound forever. I love you WC Cecil Yancey Jr.

Earth & Sky Memorial

My friend and musical mentor. Truly a magic man that held the room in his hand. He made us dance and filled the room with joy. He was inspiration to so many musicians and took the time to be my friend and teach me. It was a gift from the universe to meet him. I saw him many times over the years and eventually shared this stage with him. One of the greatest moments I'll cherish forever. Goodbye my friend My Mentor my Godfather of Austin Blues. You will be so missed..

You will be missed. May God rest your soul and bless this family. The family reunion won't be the same.Rest in peace.
