Dub Shoemaker was a newspaperman's newspaperman. He didn't ask anyone to do something he wouldn't do or hadn't done himself. Dub helped a lot of people. He gave me my first job after college as a reporter/photographer for The Star-Herald newspaper in Kosciusko, MS. I think it's fair to say that we learned a lot from each other. Godspeed Dub!
